Which of these suolhd I buy?I’ve got a bit of money left over from my birthday along with a bit of spare cash that I’ve been saving up. I’m thinking of buying either a:- Nintendo 3DS- TV- CameraAll have their pros on cons for why to buy and not to buy, but I can’t seem to decide. With the Nintendo 3DS, there aren’t that many good games available at the moment, plus with a poor battery life and a questionable design, I’m tempted to leave it a year or so until the next iteration of the console arrives, but this would mean sticking with my Nintendo DSi until then. I currently have a 32 inch, HD ready (720p) TV that I’ve had for a few years now, but it was the cheapest of the cheap when I bought it. There are a few good deals available for TVs about at the moment, and I’d be looking at getting a full HD (1080p) TV with preferably a bigger screen. I’ve got a blu-ray home cinema system and an XBox and so I feel that with my current TV, I’m not getting the best out of my current set up. The main con for me in getting a TV, is that I do already have one, and so I’d only be improving on what I’ve already got, and not adding something new, so I don’t feel this is quite necessary. As well as this, I spend most of my time away from home, and so out of the 3 options, it is most likely to be used the least. Finally, I’ve been pretty tempted for a few years now to get a decent camera and get into photography as a bit of a hobby. A camera is something I’ve never owned, mainly because I wouldn’t want a pocket, point and shoot, standard camera. Instead I’d want something of more quality, but I’ve always been put off by the large and hefty DSLR cameras, however I do now like the look of some of the micro system cameras, that pack the punch of a DSLR but in a much smaller size. I’m currently at university studying a course that fairly heavily involves TV and filming, which is what I’d like to do into after I finish, and I feel that getting familiar with the concepts of photography could aid me in this field. My main concern with this choice is that it would probably be the most expensive of the 3 options, and to get the standard of camera that I’d want, I’d more than likely have to spend more than I was planning, which means dipping into my savings. So these are what I see as my options, and would love to hear your opinions. And if anyone had any other ideas of what I could buy, I’d be happy to listen to suggestions.
