Yoshinori Kitase, producent för Square Enix Xbox 360- och PlayStation 3-titel Final Fantasy XIII, har kommenterat jämförelserna mellan Mistwalkers kommande Nintendo Wii-titel The Last Story och Final Fantasy-serien.
“I don’t really feel like the name The Last Story really overlaps with Final Fantasy because Sakaguchi-san [Hironobu Sakaguchi, The Last Storys producent] probably just wanted a simple straightforward title that Japanese users can pick up and understand. It’s a very Sakaguchi-san-like title.”
Jämförelserna mellan The Last Story och Final Fantasy är inte helt tagna ur luften – Hironobu Sakaguchi, spelets producent, är trots allt fadern till Square Enix tjugoåriga rollspelsserie.
